Postech Environmental Catalysis Laboratory
(PECL)
The removal of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from stationary or mobile
sources has become an important issue.
For the reduction of the NOx emission, selective catalytic reduction and
three waty catalyst technology offers the best choice for combining low emission
values; high removal efficiencies; and long-term, cost effective compliance. SCR
system can be classified into three categories according to the nature of
reductant and applications. Our group is mainly interested in the overall SCR
and TWC system including the preparation of optimized catalytic materials,
characterization of prepared catalyst, investigation of reaction mechanism,
reaction kinetics and modeling of TWC process. Specific research areas in PECL
